Last Chance to Enter This Year's Yorkshire Lawyer Awards

Yorkshire's legal community has already started to submit entries for this year's Yorkshire Lawyer Awards and it's not too late for other firms to take part - nominations are open until 30th June. Individuals and firms are invited to nominate themselves or others.

Now in their eighth year, the awards have become a premier event in the Yorkshire legal calendar, recognising outstanding legal talent in the county and offering professionals the chance to come together to network, socialise and celebrate. The much-sought-after awards will culminate in a prestigious ceremony and dinner at Rudding House, Harrogate, on 25th September.

As well as the coveted title of Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year, other categories include Law Firm Award (under and over 30 partners); Specialist Law Firm Award; Rising Star Award; Private Client Award; Corporate Finance Award; Real Estate Award; Dispute Resolution Award; and Enterprise Award. In addition, for the first time, a prestigious Presidents' Award will be presented by joint presidents, Peter McCormick and Jeremy Shulman, honouring legal excellence in Yorkshire.

'The awards are extremely well-known in the legal community and are always hotly contested. However, this year we are particularly keen to open them up to a wider audience and encourage more firms to take part,' commented Jeremy Shulman of Shulmans Solicitors, chair of the judges and joint president of the awards. 'We want to emphasise that the awards are open to all sizes and types of firm and to all legal professionals who meet the criteria, whatever their level or specialism - the awards are a true recognition and celebration of outstanding legal talent in Yorkshire.'

The awards are organised by Barker Brooks Media Ltd and supported by the Leeds Law Society, in association with the headline sponsor, Wesleyan for Lawyers.
