The events team are back from managing another memorable Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards.

This year's event was the biggest so far, bringing together nearly 500 lawyers, medical practitioners, insurers and others for a night of celebration at the Riverbank Plaza in London. Hosted by comedian Stewart Francis (aided by our own be-'tached Steven Bancroft, editor of Legal & Medical and Claims Management magazines), the evening also included a champagne reception, dinner, a live band and a magician.

The biggest winner of the night was Sir Henry Brooke, who not only scooped the Lifetime Achievement Award but was also named Mediation Achiever of the Year. The distinguished judge was rewarded for his exceptional career spanning over 40 years in law, as well as for developing a highly successful second vocation as a mediator after he retired from the bench. The judging committee praised him for his authoritative manner, experience and gravitas.?

The PI Awards are always particularly sociable, and some of the hardier delegates were still going strong until the early morning – kept company, of course, by our selfless staff.
